0.4.2 Instituted in the year 2000.
0.4.3 Conferred for Lifetime Contributions and Achievements in the field of Statistics.

0.5 Eligibility Criteria
0.5.1 Open to eminent Indian statisticians.
0.5.2 Minimum age requirement: 45 years and above.

0.6 Nomination Details
0.6.1 Nominations invited online through the National Awards Portal (awards.gov.in).
0.6.3 Self-nomination allowed.
0.6.4 Nominations can also be proposed by institutions.

0.7.1 Award to be presented on Statistics Day – 29 June 2026.
